Forgotten Island Aswang tricks end the run

Dodge the tell, move when the tree falls, and do not donate a Mythic to the beach.

How to Dodge Aswang Tricks

Aswang on Nakali Island are not a raid boss with a loot table. They are the fail state. Forgotten Island’s core loop says you race the island, pick up Memories in every zone, and dodge Aswang and their tricks or lose the run. That “or” is the whole combat system. There is no published light-attack string, no dodge-roll key unique to this place, and no invuln window on a cooldown wheel. You use default Roblox movement — WASD or thumbstick, jump, camera — and you refuse the trick.

This page is the survival manual. The guides hub indexes the other how-tos. Pickup rules sit on How to Get Memories on Nakali. Geography sits on Nakali Island Map Zones. If you have not banked a First Memory yet, you are early; finish Getting Started on Nakali and come back when inland is a choice.

What “tricks” means in this game

The live copy talks about Aswang and their tricks, not about a single named special move with a frame count. Treat a trick as anything that makes you stop, stare, or walk into a hazard while you are carrying cargo. Confirmed joke badges tell you which tricks already have punchlines:

Timber means you heard a falling tree and did not move. Audio is a mechanic. If you play muted on mobile, you have turned a tell off. Headphones are not a flex; they are how you avoid a badge you only want once.

Oof that’s gotta sting means you lost a Mythic with the beach in sight. The beach is supposed to feel safe. The badge exists to punish the victory lap. If you can see sand, you are still in the run. Bank first, emote second.

Buddy System is the first minigame room, better with company. Rooms are not outdoor belts. They are side spaces where the trick may be a puzzle, a timing gag, or a crowding problem. Eight players can help or can body-block the prompt. Enter with at least one friend if you can; solo is allowed but the badge text is honest about the difficulty curve.

Batter Up means you launched a friend. That can be comedy or grief. Either way it is a physics interaction, not an Aswang, but it wipes a lap just as dead if the friend was your storage mule. Agree on launch etiquette before someone tests the badge on your Mythic carrier.

Anything beyond those tells — exact AI paths, spawn timers, named Aswang types in the Roblox place versus the film — is unconfirmed unless the latest update says otherwise. This wiki will not invent a combo chart.

Who is chasing you, in movie terms

The film and the Roblox group share a cast. Manang is the Manananggal, voiced by Lea Salonga, the most feared creature on the island in the movie copy. Batiba is a Batibat (Jenny Slate). Bungi is a Tiyanak (Manny Jacinto). Raww is a were-aspin (Dave Franco) on your side of the story. Jo (H.E.R.) and Raissa (Liza Soberano) are the human leads whose Memories are the plot. Read Aswang and Manang, Raww and the pack, and Jo and Raissa for character pages. Read this page when the question is “why did my run vanish.”

Do not assume every folklore name is a unique Roblox enemy with a unique pattern. The place has not published a bestiary with HP. If a silhouette is Manang-shaped and the prompt or VO treats it as a threat, give it space. If you are unsure, leave the zone. Beyond The Beach, Past the Treeline, and Into the Ash are badges for going deeper, not for standing still while you identify the monster.

VIP is the wolf-pack / AWOOOOO pass. It is not an Aswang shield. Charm Luck is a bracelet roll booster, not a dodge. Cosmetics (Jo’s Hair, Manang Wings, Yum Yum Bird Hat) do not buy iframes. Spend Fragments on Jeepney storage so a single trick costs fewer Memories when you guess wrong.

Practical dodging, with the controls you actually have

Move. That is the Timber lesson. If the audio or the shadow says a tree is coming, walk or jump out of the column. Jump is Space or the on-screen jump button; see How to Play on Nakali Island if you need the device map. Do not crouch-cancel through a trunk unless a patch note says the place added a crouch combat layer — it has not.

Look. Camera collision in treeline and ash hides tells. If the view is inside a leaf, you cannot dodge what you cannot see. Strafe until the silhouette is on screen, then decide whether the Jeepney still has room for one more pickup. A full trunk plus a greedy step is how Oof that’s gotta sting happens.

Leave. Turning around is a real strategy. The island is three outdoor belts plus rooms, not an instance you must clear. If the ash belt is loud and your slots are full, the correct play is home, not heroics. Forgotten No More (maxed out; zero awarded) is not unlocked by dying stylishly in smoke.

Use people. Buddy System wants company. Call the minigame room on voice or in chat before you vanish into it with the only Mythic. Eight-player servers mean you can also be the trick: blocking a door, launching a friend, or AFK in a prompt. Play like the run is shared even when the badges are personal.

What not to do while scared

Do not hunt codes in the pause menu during a chase. There are no public promo codes confirmed as of 7 Sep 2026. The codes hub will still be there after you bank. How to redeem and where to find codes are not dodge tools.

Do not install a “godmode Aswang” script. Script safety exists because those files are how accounts disappear. Auto-farm talk is not a survival guide. The scripts hub will not host an exploit.

Do not prestige to “reset bad luck.” Fresh Start puts everything back in the box and keeps what you learned. It does not make Aswang polite. Save prestige for when the badge list and the badge tracker say you understand the island, not for when you are angry at a tree.

Do not confuse this Aswang set with other Roblox horror maps, and do not confuse this island with Blox Fruits Forgotten Island. Different games. Different tells.

When the film opens (Philippines 23 Sep 2026, United States 25 Sep 2026), more players will arrive knowing Manang from a trailer and not from a wipe. Point them at Getting Started and at this page. Point yourself at the tier list only after you can keep a Mythic past the treeline on purpose. The charm tier list and Jeepney tier list are for the moments between tricks, not during them.

Hear the tree. Move. Bank what you still have. That is the dodge.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Nakali Island, Memories, and Jeepney runs.

How do you dodge Aswang in Forgotten Island?

Use default Roblox movement, honor audio and visual tells, and leave when the Jeepney is full. There is no published unique dodge key. Timber is the badge for hearing a falling tree and not moving. Details are on this page; controls are on How to Play.

What does Oof that's gotta sting mean?

You lost a Mythic Memory with the beach in sight. Bank before you celebrate. Memory collection and Jeepney storage are how you stop earning it on purpose.

Is VIP or Charm Luck an Aswang counter?

No. VIP is the wolf-pack / AWOOOOO pass. Charm Luck improves bracelet roll odds. Neither pass is a shield. Survival is routing, camera, and knowing when to turn around.

Should I enter minigame rooms solo?

You can, but Buddy System is the first minigame room and is better with company. Take at least one teammate when a Mythic is in the trunk. Read map zones so you know a room is not an outdoor belt.

Who is Manang compared with the Aswang?

Manang is the Manananggal, the film's most feared island creature, voiced by Lea Salonga. Aswang is the broader threat language in the Roblox loop. Character pages live under Aswang and Manang.

Will a script make Aswang ignore me?

Do not count on it, and do not download random executors. Read script safety. A ban ends every future Memory. Play the tells instead.
